It features a length of 33.5 km via twin 5.8 m tunnels, encompassing 27 stations (26 underground and 1 at-grade) with a completion cost of USD 5 Billion. - Engineering & BIM Scope: Sustainable EMS LLC handled comprehensive BIM implementation, structural model review, clash detection, and multi-package civil works across 7 contracts using NATM tunneling in dense urban areas. The workflow encompassed coordinating detailed structural Revit model submissions for key transit nodes like Dadar and Siddhivinayak, alongside the preparation of rigorous MEP component code sheets for Vidyanagari. By establishing a federated BIM environment, we ensured precise spatial coordination, constructability analysis, and efficient extraction of material quantities.
- Operations, Maintenance & CAMS Integration: To guarantee long-term asset reliability, the as-built BIM models were seamlessly integrated into a robust Common Asset Management System (CAMS) to create a digital twin of the infrastructure. This framework drives predictive Operations & Maintenance (O&M), automating work orders and lifecycle tracking for critical MEP assets—including HVAC, Escalators, and emergency ventilation systems. The CAMS deployment streamlines facility management, minimizes operational downtime, and ensures compliance with rigorous maintenance schedules.
- Operational Milestones: Phased openings since 2024 achieved 1.46 lakh inaugural day ridership in October 2025, growing 6.84% daily, with 5-minute headways and digital ticketing via WhatsApp and the Mumbai One app. It achieves reduced travel times (e.g., 25 mins BKC-CSMT), significant modal shifts of 10% from buses/taxis, and boasts a Revenue Operations Date (ROD) of October 09th, 2025.
- Socio-Economic Impact: The project boosts urban mobility for 2.9 million ultimate daily passengers and has been praised by PM Narendra Modi and MMRCL for efficiency.
